Holiday on the Green is a town sponsored event with support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.  The event is coordinated by a group of dedicated volunteers under the leadership of Darcy Fulton, Chair of the Holiday on the Green, and Kevin Hartounian, Town Administrator.

Holiday on the Green is a celebration of our community made possible by the great cooperation of town departments, businesses, organizations, schools and many volunteers. The event is free and open to all. Come and enjoy:
  • Food trucks
  • Memory tree lighting and Mary Ellen McGee award presentation
  • Holiday walk at area businesses providing a variety of treats​ 
  • Holiday music performances including Masco and Proctor musicians, and Topsfield Congregational Church strolling carolers
  • Artisans Village upstairs in the Town Hall which featuring local artisans’ crafts & ongoing performances
  • Local musical performances
  • Santa who arrives by fire truck sponsored by the Topsfield Fire Department
  • Live animals in front of Town Hall
  • Santa’s workshop at Topsfield Shopping Plaza
  • Pooch Pageant sponsored by Coldwell Banker
  • ​Family photo fun sponsored by Masco PAC
  • Scavenger Hunt sponsored by Topsfield Recreation Department 
  • Holiday on the Green begins with large decorated snowmen displayed on the Topsfield Library lawn before Thanksgiving
 
The event ends with a HUGE bonfire behind Proctor School, sponsored by Topsfield Fire with support from the Topsfield DPW.

Join us December 4, 2021 from 3-7 pm for this fun, free, family event. It’s a great way to come together and celebrate community and the holiday season.

Some activities may be limited this year due to Covid 19 protocols but the majority of fun occurs outdoors.  If indoors, masks covering mouths and noses will be required.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation in ensuring a safe experience this year.

People wishing to volunteer for the event should contact the Topsfield Council on Aging at 978.887.1523 or email topsfieldmacoa@gmail.com.  Volunteers are needed prior to and on the day of the event.  Get involved to make the Topsfield Holiday on the Green a great family event.
